Gobbytraveller’s Ramen Burger Recipe

Recipe yields 2 burgers

Ingredients:

  • 2 packet instant noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g minced beef
  • 2 slices of cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

Method:

For the beef patty

1. In a bowl, mix beef, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Divide into 2 and form a burger patty.

2. Add oil to a frying pan and fry beef patty. When the patty is 75% cooked, add cheese on top until the cheese melts.

For the ramen burger

1. Cook instant noodles per the instructions on the packet (cook it so its 80% done, better to under cook the noodles as you will be drying the burgers later and want the noodles to be al dente).

2. Drain noodles and rinse until cold water to cool it down. Remove any excess water water with a paper towel.

3. In a bowl, add eggs, salt and pepper and beat together. Add noodles and mix thoroughly until the noodles are coated with the egg mixture.

4. Form 4 noodle patties and then place in the fridge for 20 minutes to let is set.

5. Add oil in a drying pan and dry the noodles on both sides until the edges are a little bit crispy.

Assembly

1. You can get creative when assembling and add sauces and salad. For mine, I added Heinz burger sauce and lettuce.
