Fry Up Bagel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pork sausages (personally I like good quality Cumberland sausages from my local butcher)
  • 2 rashes of unsmoked or unsmoked bacon (again my personal preference is good quality unsmoked bacon from my local butcher)
  • 2 hash browns (if you are feel like it, you can make some homemade hash browns but shop bought oven hash browns are just as good)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Bagel
  • Cheese (optional) (I used parmesan as that was what I had in the fridge but I think mozzarella would be better)
  • Brown sauce or ketchup (optional)

Method:

1. Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees.

2. Place sausages and hash browns in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

3. In a frying pan, fry bacon in a frying pan, transfer to a plate once cooked. Then fry egg (sunny side up is the best with a runny yolk) and transfer to the plate once cooked.

4. Take out hash browns and sausages out of the oven. Cut the sausages in half and finish them off in the frying pan, searing the middle of the sausages gives the edges extra crisp.

5. Cut bagel in half and toast. Spread brown sauce and ketchup onto the toasted bagel and then start compiling.

Enjoy!
