Truffle and Parmesan Fries

F339041A-8A37-4DC4-8CB7-BED9E9749B33Homemade fries never taste quite as good when made at home. I decided to try and recreate restaurant like fries and pulled out all the stops to make them gourmet. This is a very simple recipe to make homemade fries taste like its from a restaurant.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Oil (neutral oil of any kind, sunflower, vegetable, peanut oil etc)
  • Frozen chips or fries (I used Tesco’s own brand fries)
  • Truffle oil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Maldon sea salt
  • Black Pepper

METHOD:

1. Use a deep fat fryer if you have one. I just used a pan and filled it 3/4 deep with oil. Heat oil and fry the chips or fries then set aside to drain. Alternatively, you can just cook the chips/fries in the oven as per the instructions on the package.

2. Grate Parmesan cheese (as much as you would like).

3. Place chips/fries in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and a generous drizzle truffle oil.

Enjoy!
