Gobbytraveller’s One Mug Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (reduce if using sweetened milk alternative)
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or neutral oil)
  • 1 tbsp spread (Biscoff spread, Nutella or any spread of your choice)

Method:

1. In a medium bowl, whisk all ingredients (other than Biscoff spread).

3. Transfer batter into a mug (to avoid overflowing when you cook just fill the mug to 3/4 full).

4. Add a tablespoon of spread – drop it in the center. It will naturally sink so no need to push it down.

5. Cover and microwave for 90 seconds on high heat. Adjust based on wattage of microwave – I microwaved mine for 80 seconds at 900W.
